I Lost 9.3 Inches My First 33 Days

Yes, I really did!
I'm so excited because I TRULY did not expect such results so quickly!
This is what I did:

  1. I followed the 1700 calorie Power Vegetarian Meal Plan
  2. Drank 1 serving of Chocolate Shakeology daily
  3. Did the Free Download of Pay It Forward with Tony Horton and Brian Day (not even every day) 
I did add an extra ounce of cheese once in awhile, depending on how my blood sugar was. How I was feeling really did determine how much I did.  There were also a few times I added a tablespoon or two of peanut butter to the Shakeology if I was really going down after doing the dvd.  Some days there was so much food I couldn't eat it all so I'd save the 8 oz. glass of milk and made my Shakeology with that, added the banana and peanut butter and I was in Heaven. Some days I do change the order of the meals and snacks because I do need the bulk of my protein in the morning for breakfast.
Remember, I didn't do the dvd every day. In fact, I took a break due to health reasons and STILL lost a total of 9.3 inches!
I didn't even follow the plan to the letter and I still lost inches. I'm excited and I believe this will work for anyone who does it.
As my Coach, Bill Kaiser said, "It's 70% nutrition and 30% exercise"
Eating healthy is the most important thing we can do for ourselves. I'm actually eating MORE each day than I did for years and the weight is coming off.
Shakeology is working for me and giving me the nutrition in one meal that I couldn't get if I ate an entire day's worth of food. I was depleted for so long, my body soaks it up like a sponge and it's changing my life.

A Journey Of A Thousand Miles Begins With A Single Step- Lao Tzu

Lao Tzu was right- our journeys begin right under our feet. Right here. Inside ourselves, with our very first thought.
I've been so excited since joining Team Beachbody. I signed up in November but didn't actually get started until January. Even last summer, I'd written a goal and positive affirmation to be ready to do some sort of Beachbody program by October. It didn't happen when I hoped but it happened all the same.
I've been disabled since 1993, done stretches through the years under the direction of several doctors. The Chronic Fatigue Syndrome makes you feel like you haven't been to bed in six weeks even though you've just rolled out of bed. Naps, falling asleep while on the phone, being bed-ridden for the first three years, numbness and tingling in my hands and feet, cluster migraines, short-term memory loss, etc...it was horrible. I couldn't cook for myself, couldn't really take care of myself...even now, washing and drying my hair exhausts me...but...
I HAD to do something to move my muscles. I'm too young for this and don't want to die at an early age.
My coach, Bill Kaiser, is an ordinary guy with a BIG heart and lots of patience. I signed up for Team Beachbody and disappeared for over a month...my beloved cat passed and it was a difficult time for me. He welcomed me back without judgement.  Finances have been tough so he sent me the downloadable version of "Pay It Forward" with Tony Horton and Brian Day. Brian, in the video, was a big guy. He was over 400 lbs and hadn't exercised in over 10 years. Tony just gets him moving gently and slowly...It's exactly what I needed. Not only do I have Chronic Fatigue Syndrome but I also have poliosteo-arthritis which, in English means arthritis in many places all over my body and I have Fibro-myalgia...the pain is constant and the stiffness makes it almost impossible to function..I've had a walking cane since last year to help me with balance and steady myself. Bill was on the ball and sent me the dvd. I remember when I began, I was so excited to be doing a Beachbody anything!
Another problem was that half of my heart is also enlarged. When I began the gentle movements, my heart "fluttered." I'd been having those flutters for years. I was hospitalized overnight in November 2007 for chest pains and the resulting follow-up showed the left side of my heart enlarged. Trying to walk up stairs, getting up off the couch, whatever it was, the flutters came...and I got dizzy.
Well, Bill, in his wisdom, suggested I begin using Shakeology when I began the exercises...so I began both together. I signed up as a coach to get the 25% discount. It was the ONLY way I could do it and I hadn't invested in my health for so long, I HAD to do this. I was afraid of dying. I had to stop the exercises about a week and a half into it. I'm not exactly sure how long or when now but I did have to stop for a bit. I continued eating the 1700 calories per day mean plan and drinking my chocolate Shakeology every day. It was like drinking a yummy chocolate pudding before it sets. I LOVE IT!
After giving my body a good rest, I began the dvd again and didn't try to increase anything in the beginning. I went slowly and...no heart flutters! So I increased the reps from 10 to 20 for a few days...still  no flutters. I began using 3 lb. weights...still no flutters.
A realization came to me that I must have been really undernourished. I had food but would not eat enough in a day. I'd eaten healthy food before though and still had the "flutters." The only difference I made was adding my Shakeology every day. As I write this, I haven't had flutters in a good three weeks or so.
Am I a believer in Team Beachbody? Absolutely.
Am I a believer in Shakeology? Absolutely.
Will I continue drinking it? Most definitely.
Has my life changed for the better and still going forward because of it? Absolutely. Without a doubt!
